    China's National Energy Administration (NEA) announced on March 16, 2015 that the country's 2015 PV target would be set at 17.8 GW. This target is raised from 15 GW which is initially proposed less than one month earlier. Although there are no targets for overall centralized generation and distributed generation (DG) separately, a target is set for DG deployment in specific regions and provinces.

    During the Egypt Economic Development Conference (EEDC) on 13 to 15 March, 2015, the government signed more than 40 Memoranda of Understanding (MOU) with power plant developers, including agreements on coal, wind, solar and hydro generation. Two of these MOUs were signed with solar PV developers SkyPower Global SARL (SkyPower) and Terra Sola Group AG (Terra Sola) to develop a combined PV capacity of up to 5 GW. In parallel, Egypt has started signing land use agreements for PV projects developed under the feed-in tariff scheme launched in December 2014.
