Led by: Vladimir Galabov, Senior Analyst, Data Center Compute
A widening time gap between CPU generations amid growing demand for DC compute is creating a demand to install more servers in the DC, with the need to squeeze more compute per square meter. Open compute and density optimized blade servers have become the norm in cloud service provider DCs and should be considered when outfitting any data center and have given rise to alternate rack designs and even novel architectures like shared resource blade chassis with credit card sized server nodes. Open compute and density optimized blades will represent over a quarter of servers shipped by 2022. This webinar will explore architectural options, matching workloads with specific density optimized servers, and provide use cases showcasing successful deployments.
