It's also the first time Google has chosen a Chinese brand to make a Nexus device. US telecom operators are notable among major operator groups in choosing not to range this generation of Nexus smartphones. Impending net neutrality regulation fails to impede record spending on spectrumFebruary 03, 2015AT&T was the largest spender in the recent spectrum auction in the US. 65MHz of spectrum in the AWS band (1700/2100MHz) was auctioned off with AT&T and satellite operator Dish coming away with the bulk of the spectrum. Verizon spent heavily to gain spectrum in important territories, leaving T-Mobile and others to pick up the scraps. The total spend was much larger than in any previous auctions which stands in contrast to operators' warnings that forthcoming net neutrality legislation would deter investment in the industry.Subscribers Only
