Kinepolis selects laser for start of replacement wave with Cinionic/BarcoJune 20, 2018Kinepolis has earmarked the start of its replacement schedule of first-generation digital projectors to laser technology in a deal with Cinionic/Barco for 300 laser systems over the next three years. HBO licenses content to Amazon Prime Video in JapanFebruary 05, 2018HBO signed a content deal with Amazon in January 2018 to license 50 HBO series on Amazon Prime Video in Japan. Existing Prime subscribers will be able to watch HBO shows, including Game of Thrones, Silicon Valley, The Sopranos and The Wire, without having to pay an additional fee. HBO content will be available on Amazon Prime Video in Japan starting April 1, 2018. Details on the duration of the deal are undisclosed.

Sky Deutschland launches Sky Sport in SwitzerlandAugust 18, 2017Sky Sport has launched as an online-only service in Switzerland. Offering live matches from the German Bundesliga and UEFA Champions League as well as tennis, ice hockey, handball and more, Sky Sport is available without a long-term contract, with a monthly subscription of SFr 19.00 ($19.75). Yesterday's launch coincides with the start of the new Bundesliga season.
