South Korean cinema operator CJ CGV is to expand in VietnamSeptember 05, 2017CJ CGV, the largest cinema operator by screens in South Korea, plans to invest $200 million to expand its presence in Vietnam over the next four years. South Korean film distributor Next Entertainment World enters exhibition businessAugust 22, 2017South Korean film distributor Next Entertainment World (NEW) is planning to enter the cinema exhibition business with a number of cinemas opening across the country. Branded as Cine Q, the first cinema will open on 24th August in the South Eastern city Gyeongju, and another seven locations coming in the near future.

World Film Production 2015July 10, 2017The volume of world feature film production rose slightly to reach 7,653 projects in 2015, according to IHS Markit research. As usual, some previous years’ data has changed in the light of revisions from data sources. A total of 17 territories recorded annual output of more than 100 feature films, same with 2014. CJ 4DPlex further expands its presence to reach 300 screens in 42 territoriesNovember 22, 2016Experiential 4D cinema technology company, CJ 4DPlex, has reached a milestone with a total installation of 300 4DX screens worldwide. The 300th 4DX screen was installed at Cineplex Cinemas Yonge-Dundas and VIP, in Canada which opened recently in November 2016. This is the first 4DX screen in Canada.
