China’s cable TV operators to focus on multiscreen TVMay 05, 2015The 23rd China Content Broadcasting Network (CCBN) took place in Beijing from March 24 to 28. China’s State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film, and Television (SAPPRFT) used the show communicate new strategic directions for the development of China’s TV broadcasting. The government is encouraging cable TV operators to upgrade their networks to support multiscreen TV services to connected devices, now that TV digitization is almost complete. The birth of an operator: China Broadcasting NetworkJune 16, 2014China Broadcasting Network (CBN) registered in April 17 after more than four years of preparation. CBN is a state-level, rather than provincial, cable TV operator and will operate under the supervision of State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television (SAPPRFT). It will support province-level operators to maintain subscribers and increase average revenue per user (ARPU). CBN will build a national internet data center, allowing it to compete directly on internet capacity with a fully integrated core network. CBN will promote domestic standards.Subscribers Only
