Roku has developed a hybrid version of its Roku 4 set-to box (STB), which will allow its pay TV operator partners to offer access to digital terrestrial television (DTT) broadcasts as well as over-the-top (OTT) streaming services to consumers through a single device and user interface (UI). Roku will also allow operators greater customization of the UI, enabling them to promote specific content, including recommendations, on the home screen.
