Mr. Josh Bancroft, a senior research analyst at IHS Markit covering data center, enterprise SDN, and networked services.

As a senior analyst within the Cloud and Data Center Research Practice, Josh is responsible for software-defined networking (SDN), application delivery controllers (ADC) and software-defined enterprise wide area networks (SD-WAN) research.

Before joining IHS Markit, Josh spent 5 years at Intel. He oversaw the supply chain for one of Intel’s largest customers; forecasting long-term component demand, ensuring Intel reserved adequate supply enabling the customer to meet large deal commitments, achieving a very high customer delight score. Josh also played a key role in building Intel's first data center (DC) market model, developing more detailed CPU by type attach rate in DC compute, networking, storage by geography, and market segment. The revised models improved accuracy, achieving less than 3% variance from actuals. In 2017, Josh enabled Intel’s cloud service provider sales teams in EMEA to deliver double-digit revenue growth by tracking customer-level CPU sales and advising on actions to deliver higher revenue per unit.

Josh received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Information Technology from Bournemouth University, UK, graduating with honours.
