Chris works as a principal analyst within the semiconductor research group at IHS Markit. Chris conducts research and analysis on the global semiconductor manufacturing industry focusing on feature size migrations and wafer capacity for IDM (Independent Device Manufacturers). Additionally, he monitors and reports on raw silicon manufacturers and global supply trends and threats.
Prior to joining IHS Markit, Chris worked as a wafer manufacturing output manager for three, 200mm fabs in Freescale Semiconductor. He spent 10 years managing various aspects of the wafer-fabrication supply chain. Chris worked extensively with industrial engineers to improve capacity modeling accuracy. He was also responsible for forecasting and monitoring capital spend. Chris also managed raw silicon supply and the shipping process in the Freescale Chandler Fab. Prior to his tenure in wafer manufacturing, he spent 20 years working in the central supply chain organization as a Master Planner, Factory Planner and manager of those functions. Chris also possess background in enterprise planning systems, shop floor control systems and the integration of these systems.
Chris received a Bachelor of Science in Supply Chain Management from Arizona State University, US, graduating with honors.
