Tim Hewitt

Tim Hewitt is an analyst within the IHS Technology Smart Home team, which covers all aspects of the smart home ecosystem, from service providers and subscription models, to device markets and technical trends. Tim’s responsibilities include supporting the IHS smart home intelligence services, which are continuously updated to reflect changes in the highly dynamic Smart Home industry.

The Smart Home industry spans a large portion of IHS Technology, from security and energy management, to connectivity and the Internet of Things. In order to facilitate better collaboration, Tim leads the Smart Home Analyst Council, a group of experts from across IHS covering various aspects relating to the smart home industry.

Before joining IHS Tim worked at 9Dot Research where he was responsible for a broad range of research activities including data analysis and insight, survey design, interviews and group discussions, and presenting actionable research findings. Tim holds a BSc in Physics and Planetary Science from the University of Leicester.
