Dinesh Kithany is a principal analyst working within the IHS Consumer Electronics team. Dinesh joined IHS in March 2013 and heads the Home Appliances Research.

Dinesh has recently published IHS' core reports within the home appliances industry titled ‘World Market for Major Home Appliances 2013 Edition’ and is currently working on the ‘World Market for Small Home Appliances 2014 Edition’. 

Dinesh is spearheading this division with new initiatives working across a range of home appliances, both major as well as small appliances, which includes smart appliances. He is responsible for assessing the market size for not only home appliances market but also its semiconductor content market, which includes microprocessors, semiconductors, power ICs and other electronics, along with providing insights on the latest technology trends of the market, at country/region as well as global level.

Dinesh has 17 years of experience of working in the market research and consumer insights industry, spanning various industry sectors covering Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) to Consumer Durables, Media, Retail, Telecom and Financial sectors. Prior to IHS, Dinesh has worked with global market research and consumer insights agencies like TNS Global, Millward Brown, Ipsos, IMRB as well as with media agencies. He has worked across various regions (Asia, Middle East, Africa and UK) servicing clients of various profiles.

Dinesh is a Commerce graduate and holds a MBA degree with specializing in Marketing. He is based at IHS’s office in Wellingborough, UK.
