Bill Morelli

Mr. Bill Morelli is the executive responsible for the Enterprise & IT research practice within the technology group at IHS Markit. He leads the team of analysts covering Transformative Technologies, including AI, cloud & virtualization, and IoT among others.

As the head of the Enterprise & IT practice, Mr. Morelli manages the core strategy, personnel, research, analysis, and commercial planning for the research. The focus areas for the practice include cloud and data centers, enterprise cybersecurity, enterprise and service provider networking, and IoT connectivity.

In his previous roles at IHS Markit and IMS Research, Mr. Morelli was responsible for launching the cellular M2M and Internet of Things research areas, as well as leading the mobile technologies research team. He has published numerous reports on the global market for Internet of Things, connected devices, mobile handsets, smartphones/converged devices, I/O technologies, including touchscreens, and handset operating systems.

An experienced industry analyst, Mr. Morelli has provided strategic market analysis for end equipment manufacturers and component suppliers, and speaks regularly at industry events. His research has been featured in various articles in major newspapers and magazines, such as The Washington Post, Bloomberg/BusinessWeek, and The New York Times.
