On 12 June 2019, Japan Display Inc. announced that its CEO will resign in September 2019, taking responsibility for five years of continuous net losses. The company also unveiled additional restructuring measures that include raising the number of domestic job cuts by 1,200, halting operations at its Hakusan Gen 6 LTPS TFT LCD fab in Q3 2019, and shuttering its V2 module line in Mobara from September.
