Total consumer spend within the Korean PC online gaming market was KRW 2,265 billion ($2.03billion) in 2018, representing a decrease of 4.9% year-over-year. Compared to the sharp decline of the PC online gaming market last year, which was driven by IP-adapted mobile titles, most PC games resisted decay and were not threatened by new hit mobile titles. The major updates for legacy PC titles succeeded to maintain loyal user traction, but failed to trigger significant recovery.
