This unique tool enables apple-to-apple comparisons and is the robust way to analyze your competitive landscape or that of your customers. The easy-to-use pivot tables examine the revenue of more than 100 IDM and fabless MEMS and sensor manufacturers, for the years 2015–2018. The tool shows the MEMS and other silicon-based sensor revenue in smartphones, wearables and consumer electronics, by device type and application sector for each company.

For this version of the database, IHS Markit has for the first time included additional sensor categories to expand its coverage of the sensor industry. In addition to MEMS sensors, the current version includes fingerprint sensors, silicon temperature sensors, ambient light, proximity, and color sensors, CMOS image sensors and magnetic categories of devices, predominantly on silicon or manufactured with silicon and other semiconductor processes.
