The way households are consuming video content is changing, with traditional pay TV giving way to internet delivered video. In North America (Canada and the US) 57% of respondents in IHS Markit’s latest Consumer Research: Devices, Media and Usage survey indicated that they had access to Netflix in November 2018, 27% had access to Amazon Prime Video, and 13% had access to Hulu. These services have grown in popularity due to many factors including a large slate of original content, easy content discovery, and low monthly price.
