Nordic Entertainment Group (NENT) shared details of its transition into a 'video entertainment company' at yesterday’s investor day in Stockholm, held in the run up to its listing later this month.

If there was one key takeaway, it was the 1.248 million paying subscribers to NENT's Viaplay subscription video-on-demand (SVoD) service in the four Nordic countries at end 2018. With a total of 2.218 million subscribers at the same point, that means NENT now has more subscribers to its online direct-to-consumer service than via traditional platforms – its own Viasat service and third party providers.
