IHS Markit conducted a consumer survey on Connected Devices & Media Consumption in November 2018 to understand adoption and usage of various connected devices, including smart speakers. The survey was conducted across a nationally representative sample of Internet users in eight markets in November 2018.

The survey revealed the disparity in adoption of smart speakers by brand across the markets and the importance of brand loyalty and building an ecosystem in the uptake and usage of smart speakers as well as smart speakers.
