Tencent’s PC segment displayed strong recovery this quarter, with an increase of 18.4%, expanding its market share to 71%. Dungeon & Fighter (DNF) was the main growth driver thanks to a Lunar New Year update. This added a new character and fresh dungeons targeted at loyal users, to encourage spend on decorative costumes and upgrade items, but contributed little to growth in active users.

Highlights:

  • DNF remains a key title, in growth terms
  • Mobile games adapted from PUBG's IP have found a sizeable userbase but are yet to be monetised
  • Mobile games have now become key to the revenue performance of all major publishers

In this report:

  • Top publisher performance
  • Revenue share within publisher basket
  • Top publisher revenue split by MMOG &MOG
  • Top publisher revenue split by business model
  • Top publisher revenue split by technology
