On 23 May, 2018 New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy signed into law A3723/S2314. The bill makes New Jersey the fifth state to adopt an energy storage target. Representing another milestone to the energy storage industry in the United States, creating further momentum across the East Coast following Massachusetts and New York. The New Jersey target is set at 2 GW of energy storage to be deployed by 2030 with an interim target of 600 MW by 2021.
