TV market volume declined for three consecutive years since 2015, so major TV brands started to focus on revenue more than units with high-resolution and wide color-gamut for AMOLED TV. As a result, AMOLED TV panel shipments are expected to reach 2.7 million in 2018 and exceed 16 million in 2025.
To compete with OLED TV, some TV brands have been developing a wide color gamut solution with quantum dots or LEDs. So, AMOLED TV panel technology will change over the next few years with top emission, RGB pixel, and glass encapsulation to improve performance.
