The Super Narrow Bezel (SNB) video wall market has led the LCD public display market with double digit growth annually from 2010 to 2017. Samsung’s LCD division (now spun-off as Samsung Display) created the SNB LCD category to compete against DLP projection and Plasma video walls. At first, big screen LCD displays were extremely expensive with production capacity constrained by burgeoning demand for consumer TVs, desktop monitors and notebook PCs. In the end, excessively bullish expectations in the LCD industry led to serious over-capacity.
