As expected, the major company rankings did not see any great change in Q2. Tencent slightly lessened its lead due to the cessation of certain special item sales for Dungeon & Fighter (DNF).

 

Indeed, most PC game publishers suffered revenue stagnation or decline during the exam season. Atop that, publishers prefer to invest marketing spend into mobile, where promotional activity can gain attention and stimulate spending more effectively.
