Summary:

The government in the UK has laid out their strategy for implementing major reforms that change the way electricity is generated, stored and used. Additionally the government announced a total of £246 million investment in smart energy technologies including batteries. IHS Markit believes that this will create clarity over the treatment of energy storage and could boost the long-term growth potential for the fast emerging energy storage industry in the country.
