As in 2016, Nexon grew its lead in Q1 2017, capturing 71% share of the whole PC games business. This was due to the strong performance of Dungeon & Fighter (DNF) in China. Although other publishers enjoyed a slight uptick in Q1 thanks to consistent deregulation of web-based board & card games, as well as licensing IP to overseas markets, their market shares are further squeezed without any hit titles to stimulate growth.

  • NCSOFT preps two mobile titles, once of which is primed to capture lapsed PC users
  • Royalties from China boosted Nexon's growth, while its mobile pipeline takes aim at Japan
