Infineon now has Wolfspeed, the Power & RF Division of Cree, Inc., a pioneer of silicon carbide (SiC) components. Continuing on its growth strategy, Infineon wants to become the “power” house for next generation power IC components. Infineon has realized that the future of automotive is in automated, connected and electric propulsion vehicles and it is following a strategy to expand its portfolio to serve these segments.
