As in 2015, Nexon enhanced its leading role in Q1 2016, capturing 57% share of the whole PC games business due to the strong performance of Dungeon & Fighter in China. Although other publishers enjoyed a slight uptick in Q1 thanks to deregulation on web-based board & card games, their market shares are further squeezed without any hit titles to spur significant growth.

Highlights:

  • Nexon further squeezed the makret share of other publishers thanks to Dungeon & Fighter
  • Deregulations on web-based board &card games brings new revenue for major portals
  • Dependence on the Chinese market is lowering, as exploration of opportunity in the West continues to grow
