The Solar Market Tracker - North America provides forecasts and analysis for installed PV capacity in the United States and Canada at a country and state/province level. The tracker is updated at least quarterly to provide the most up-to-date projections for each market based on the latest policy changes and market developments.

In each tracker we present historical installations and five year forecasts by system and installation type for 50 states and the District of Columbia in the United States and key provinces in Canada. A rolling 8-quarter forecast/historical is also provided.

A report summarizing key PV market changes is also provided each quarter, presenting a market overview for key regions and states with details of forecast assumptions and market drivers.

The tracker also includes the following information and data:

  • PV attractiveness by system type for each state market
  • Component prices and supplier market shares for PV modules and inverters in North America
