This brief covers the Water Utility management Conference. This is the first time for IHS to attend the Water Utility Management Conference, which was held in February of this year in Austin, Texas. The conference attendance was about 750 people, with over half being water utility managers from across North America while the other attendees ranged from regulators to EPCs to consultants.

Water utilities are looking for more forums to share best practices. As technology continues to advance, water utility managers are having to revamp their business processes and team organization. The focus of the conference was on three core difficulties most managers are facing: how to implement changes in times of uncertainty, what are the best practices for ensuring IT project success, and how to align personnel to better meet strategic goals.
