Some major PC game operators in Korea enjoyed overall revenue growth in Q3, thanks in part the country’s biggest holiday, the Chuseok harvest festival. Chuseok facilitated an uptick in attention toward online gaming that helped counteract the negative impact of restrictions places on web-based board games, and also allowed certain MMO titles to achieve a high-sales watermark.

Nexon consolidates its leading role with a Q3 share of 48% of the whole PC games business. Revenue from Lineage recovered enough to compensate for NCsoft’s loss from the overseas market. With fewer resources being directed toward the promotion of PC games, other companies saw little significant growth from the sector.
