LCD TV sales were down by 6.7% YoY this year during China’s Labor Day season, though this was partly expected due to the artificially high shipment level produced during the same period last year at the end of the government’s subsidy period for energy saving TVs. Major selling factors included UHD, large screen sizes and smartness, with Smart TVs accounting for 60% of the TVs sold during this year’s Labor Day season.
